Grand Prix New York - Kart Racing

Looking for something fun to do with the kids over the holiday weekend?  Try indoor kart racing at Grand Prix New York in Mount Kisco.

This 120,000 square foot facility is enormous, with over 3 acres of indoor space!  There are several different tracks inside, and anyone age 8 and over can take a spin.

Before you go, check the Grand Prix calendar for "arrive and drive" track times.  Scheduled throughout the week, "arrive and drive" allows you to simply show up, sign up and race.  All you need to bring is closed-toe shoes.  Grand Prix supplies helmets, tracksuits, and a mini lesson to get you up and running.

During "arrive and drive" sessions, children ages 8 and up are placed on one track and older children (ages 13 and up) are placed on a slightly faster track.  This keeps the racing fun, exciting and safe for everyone.

Race fees are currently $10-$20 per race, depending on your child's age and how many races they purchase (the price includes a $5.00 daily membership fee).  There is no timing system for the races and each race is 6 minutes in length.

My kids had a blast when we went.  Here is some footage of them burning rubber.  This video is the Tunnel Track for ages 8+.

This video is the Brownstone Track for ages 13+.
